"grounding" for Intersubjectivity and Learning

چکیده
Recently, a number of researchers within Cultural-Historical Activity Theory (CHAT) have studied how discursive interaction unfolds between parent and child, as well as in the classroom (e.g. Matusov, 1996; Wells, 1996, Wertsch, 1985). Understanding such phenomena on the interpersonal plane is important given that the negotiation of intersubjective situation definitions is one of the vehicles of development (Wertsch, ibid). Intersubjectivity in Open Source Software Development: Expansive Grounding in Distributed Work
In this paper we address intersubjectivity, which is of particular relevance to those who wish to understand how learning is produced within complex group work. A conceptual framework for intersubjectivity is developed based on a review of past research with a starting point in the work of Rommetveit, a Norwegian social psychologist. The framework is applied to the analysis of a mature open sou...

What the participants share, their common "sense" of the world, creates a foundation, a framing, an orientation that enables human actors to see and act in coordination with one another. For recurrent activities, the methods the participants use to understand each other as they act change, making the intersubjective space in which actors operate richer and easier to produce. This article works ...
متن کاملTo Disagree, We Must Also Agree: How Intersubjectivity Structures and Perpetuates Discourse in a Socially Mediated Mathematics Learning Environment
Multi-level analyses in a socially mediated middle school mathematics classroom reveal how intersubjectivity serves to structure and sustain the discourse while students collective solve a three-dimensional reasoning task. Speech events frequently exhibited co-occurrence of both positive and negative forms of intersubjectivity. This shows that interlocutors need not agree or converge on a singl...
